Safeguarding Vulnerable adults

Everybody has the right to feel safe

Safeguarding is about individuals and organisations working together to prevent and stop, both the risk of, and the actual experience of abuse or neglect. All staff, whether they work in a hospital, a care home, in general practice, or in providing community care, and whether they are employed by a public sector, private, or not-for-profit organisation, have a responsibility to safeguard children and adults at risk of abuse or neglect.

During this session we will cover:

  • The principles of Safeguarding adults
  • Protecting people from harm and abuse
  • Local and national response to suspected or disclosed abuse
  • Reducing the likelihood of abuse
